We are currently working on this very rare Lanchester, which is one of only two of this variety that were built, as far as we are aware. When we got the car she was in one piece but on closer inspection it became clear that she was almost entirely ruined. Her engine came in a box with no instructions!
We are now working on putting the engine back together again, including getting the fluid flywheel and pre-selector gearbox working. We can then put the engine in a testing cradle to ensure it runs as new or better. The body tub has been removed and is with a partner company for a full restoration. This Lanchester will be with us for some while yet and we will keep you updated with progress on this page. Back to Restoration Workshop. |
