Alvis TB21 Reference

Dear Guy

Just about recovered from LEJOG, and time to let you know that the Alvis completed the rally in good form.

As you know, it is an arduous course of 1600 miles, leaving Land's End on Saturday around 8am, with the only full night rest at Newcastle, before reaching John O'Groats Tuesday morning after a 24 hour drive.

The TB21 proved extremely reliable, with no major mechanical incidents and the Alvis Hares Team was one of only three marque teams, out of around 8, to finish intact.  The Alvis' reliability secured it 2nd in class and a Red Riband for reaching every Major Control whilst open, not to mention 2nd in the Age Category Concourse.

Thanks for coming to the rescue and dropping everything at short notice to prepare the car for this event, and providing diligence and thoroughness that I have come to expect from the TWR team.
