Alvis SA Speed 20
This Alvis Speed 20 had been involved in an accident where another car had pulled out in front of its owner, leaving him with a bent chassis and caved in front end. We undertook the work for an insurance company. The first job was to strip her down to her chassis, which was straightened before rebuilding the car completely. This included rebushing the springs, replacing the spring pins, straightening the frotn axle and finding new wheels for her.
All bodywork was commissioned through partner companies and she now looks as good as new. So good in fact that she won the Most Sympathetic Restoration award at the Alvis International Day. |
